In 1971, the Institution was affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, offering the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE-X) and Indian School Certificate (ISC-XII) .

In 1989 under the leadership of Dr. E.R. Dass a the school was upgraded to become an Inter College. Under his direction the college was further expanded, renovated and improved and it received a special status among the Division Institutions.

The College under the Administration of the Southern Asia Division of Seventh-day Adventists, serves the youth of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Manipur, Bihar, Maharashtra, Nepal, Bangladesh and some Middle Eastern Countries.

In 2001 the International Board of Education approved the opening of the Roorkee Adventist Community College. This was a further upgrade of the institution into the realms of higher education.

The Roorkee Adventist Community College commenced operation from July 2001 offering 2-year associate degrees in the fields of Elementary Teacher Training, Office Technology and Nursing Assistantship (equivalent to Auxiliary Nurse).

In 2003, the college had become a constituent college of AAI-DU, Allahabad and began offering degrees in Science, Maths, Business Administration and Computer Applications. The name was also changed to Roorkee Adventist College. In 2006, the college was affiliated to HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar Uttarakhand (A Central University), offering BBA, BCA, B.Sc. with industrial Microbiology, B.Com. (CFA). In 2013, the College offered M.Com a Post Graduate Course.
