Code Of behaviour

Code of Behaviour: The Governing Policy of the college: All regulations adopted by the college and announced to the students from time to time have the same force as those included in this prospectus.
The college will endeavor to impress upon the students the importance of disciplined living in preparing them for a proper placement in life. If discipline is needed, it will be given not for the sake of punishment but as a means of helping the students to appreciate the importance of the rules and the traditions of the institution.
However, if the student’s basic attitude, conduct or influence proves to be out of harmony with the standards of the college he/she may be required to withdraw or face dismissal from the college. Any student who indulges in practices that are demoralizing to health, mental attitude and character is liable to be disciplined by the college. The college will not knowingly admit a student who indulges in any such practices. The training of boys and girls is one of the noblest and grandest tasks ever committed to men and women. It is therefore expected that parents will co-operate with the college in the training of their children. Especially during times of discipline parents should seek the truth of the case from the principal and/or the headmaster rather than depend entirely upon the word of the student or students or his fellow classmates. This co-operation between home and college will go far in creating and maintaining a pleasant atmosphere in which both parents and teachers can work in molding boys and girls into men and women who will stand for the right and be useful to their society.
Guidelines for Boarders: Life at SDA Inter College is governed by the principle that character building is the highest objective of education that self-government is the ideal. While no religious test is required for the admission of a child, the student’s applications contain an agreement to observe the standards and the rules and regulations of the college. It is understood that attendance at SDA Inter College is a privilege and not a right; and that this privilege may be withdrawn from any student who does not conform to the code of behaviour enunciated below. By registering in the college, the student pledges to live in harmony with the spirit of the institution and abide by its guidelines.
